connection problems due to authentication

Now I am getting this error:

An error has occured in pgAdmin II: frmConnect.cmdConnect_Click:

Number: -2147217843
Description: Password authentication failed for user 'leoj'




I am a user in the database and have set the password to the one I am using when trying to connect.  I looked in the
pg_hba.conffile and saw a reference to the pg_password(1) utility.  I'm not sure what it is but I'm guessing I need to
addthe password someplace else.
