Perhaps you are searchfing for something like:
test=# select * from foo; a | b | flag
---------+---+------{1,2,3} | 1 | t{5,6,7} | 1 | t
(2 rows)
test=# select * from foo where b = any(a); a | b | flag
---------+---+------{1,2,3} | 1 | t
(1 row)
