mpsql question ??

Hello,

I am using RedHat 5.2 with the installed postgres.

The question relates to the package 'mpsql' that comes with
postgres.

Attempts to connect from this package results in

    "Connection to database "template1" failed.
      ERROR: Unsupported frontend protocol."
