@Johannes, I'm CCing this to pgadmin-hackers as I'm lacking
free time just right now.

@hackers: It seems we have problems with some themes at least
under Debian GNU/Linux:
Can somebody on the list try to reproduce this ?

Full detail can be found at

Raphaël

Hi Andreas,
in fact I think they are gnome themes.
Under Debian, install the package "gnome-themes-extras" and log in under
Gnome.

The themes are selectable from the gnome panel:
Applications -> Desktop preferences -> Themes

I confirm that the "logging" panel is unviewable under certain
conditions. At least, the Gorilla theme makes it disappear... :(
"Guepe" does the same thing...
Really strange... And this is "dynamic":
if you let the window opened and change the theme, the logging panel
disappears or reappears "on the fly" (both the selectable and text
informations).

Can someone check this on another linux distro please ? Maybe I missed
something when I released the pga3 packages...

Regards,
Raphaël

I omit to tell but it's the "control" part of the themes which is
responsible:
Cut from the online help:
/Controls The controls setting for a theme determines the visual
appearance of windows, panels, and applets. The controls setting also
determines the visual appearance of the GNOME-compliant interface items
that appear on windows, panels, and applets, such as menus, icons, and
buttons. Some of the controls setting options that are available are
designed for special accessibility needs. You can choose an option for
the controls setting from the Controls tabbed section in the Theme
preference tool./

Andreas, anything I could try to trace which could help to determine
from where it comes ?

Raphaël
