Hi,
  we recently try to build a costumer index type around 8.3, for now 
want to teach  planner to pick up specific index for our query, so we'd like to use 
some document  about how a query tree trun into different query plan and how to 
decide which one  to use. Is there any document about that? Any hints will be great 
appreciated!
