PGDG YUM Repository failed

Hi,

As am trying to install postgresql on CentOS8 from pgdb repository, but it's failed to install postgresql12/11/ ..etc. It's throws error as "No package found".

And also if i tried installing with star at th end then getting below error.

 yum install postgresql12*
Last metadata expiration check: 0:09:40 ago on Mon 14 Oct 2019 06:02:43 PM IST.
Error:
 Problem 1: package postgresql12-plpython-12.0-1PGDG.rhel8.x86_64 requires postgresql12-server(x86-64) = 12.0-1PGDG.rhel8, but none of the providers can be installed
  - cannot install the best candidate for the job
  - package postgresql12-server-12.0-1PGDG.rhel8.x86_64 is excluded
 Problem 2: package postgresql12-llvmjit-12.0-1PGDG.rhel8.x86_64 requires postgresql12-server(x86-64) = 12.0-1PGDG.rhel8, but none of the providers can be installed
  - cannot install the best candidate for the job
  - package postgresql12-server-12.0-1PGDG.rhel8.x86_64 is excluded
 Problem 3: package postgresql12-devel-12.0-1PGDG.rhel8.x86_64 requires postgresql12(x86-64) = 12.0-1PGDG.rhel8, but none of the providers can be installed
  - cannot install the best candidate for the job
  - package postgresql12-12.0-1PGDG.rhel8.x86_64 is excluded
(try to add '--skip-broken' to skip uninstallable packages or '--nobest' to use not only best candidate packages)

Hi,

Anybody please help me on this. Postgresql 12 able to install on CentOS 7 but not able to install on CentOS 8. Is there anything need to do for successful installation on CentOS 8?

Also i tried on Redhat 8 as well. No package found error.

Problem on Server and client package installation only. Other than postgresql12-libs ,postgresql12-odbc are all working fine. For server and client package not available to install. Only debuginfo and debugsource available on metadata to install.

Kindly look into this.

Hey Devrim, All,

I ran into the same problem today, and your post did not solve the issue. After enabling [pgdg12-updates-testing] I still see the same list of package (listed twice)

# dnf search postgresql12
