PostgreSQL User Gallery aka Registration Form ...

Morning all...

Getting back on track over here with getting the User Gallery back
online, there is an initial 'Registration Form' now available at:

    http://www.pgsql.com/register

The form is pretty self-explanatory, with "?"/help tabs to the
right of each field that provides a little more detail...

Right now, the information is email'd directly to us, while I
finish up the database backend to it, at which point it will be
auto-entered by the cgi. Once the backend is ready, all the entries
entered up to that point will be hand-entered by us...

Front-end to view database will be announced as soon as its
available...all should be completed by the end of this week...

If anyone can think of any more information that would make sense
to ask, please feel free to suggest it to us, but what is there now is
what I could think of as relevant at this time...

If anyone can suggestion/provide more "intelligent" help messages
for the various fields, please feel free to provide that also...

Vince/Jeff...please add appropriate links to this page so that ppl
know it exists.

I have RedHat 6.0 and have tried to use both the Postgress distrituted with
it and also newer RPMs (postgresql-6.5.1-1, postgresql-devel-6.5.1-1 etc) .

My machine demands that I supply it witth the various environmental
variables (PGDATA, PGLIB, changes to the MANPATH). But, for some unknown
reason, these binary distjritutions do not have these items available at the
/usr/local/pgsql directory Indeed, my machine has no such directory.

Nor have I been able to identiry where these items may be.

Would someone please provide me with this information, and may I suggest
the Postgres documentation deal with this issue?
